Canonbury is a good and improving school (Ofsted, May 2011) looking to recruit new teachers for the start of the 2012-13 school year. Our pupils come from a wide range of backgrounds and the diversity and social mix in our school is a real strength. Our school is committed to improvement at all levels and is looking for dedicated, reflective teachers who are confident that their current practice is at least good and with our support will want to become or maintain outstanding standards in the future. In return the school can offer a high quality CPD programme and commitments to teacher learning, PPA time and detailed feedback and support for improvement.

At Canonbury music is a central part of our approach to unlocking the potential of each child and we believe that musical education can be a key way to unlock barriers to learning for children who find other academic learning difficult. From September 2012 we will be able to offer instrumental music lessons to all of our pupils at Key Stage 2, free of charge.
