Canonbury offers a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, as well as a breakfast and after school club.

UPDATE – AFTER SCHOOL CLUB and BREAKFAST PROVISION FROM SEPTEMBER 2011

As you will be aware from the letter which went out in July, we have implemented a series of changes in the way breakfast club and after school club are organised and paid for this term.

Any parent wishing to book places at breakfast or after school club will need to have booked and paid for their sessions a minimum of a half term in advance via the school office, as well as completing a breakfast/after school club form for each child. The price for a session is as follows:

Breakfast Club: 7.45 – 8.55 a.m. £3.50 per child / Concessions £3.00

After School Club (Known previously as play centre) : 3.30 – 6.00 p.m. £7.50 per child per session/ Concessions £6.00

Those wishing to claim the concessionary rate will need to provide current evidence to the school office of being in receipt of benfits or income support. In extreme circumstances where pre-payment causes financial hardship, parents should notify our new school business manager, Vicki Burcham, via the school office on 0207 226 5020, to agree a payment plan. In all other cases the payments must have been made to secure  a place by 9.20 a.m. on Monday 12th September 2011.

Breakfast and After School Clubs will then commence from Tuesday 13th September 2011.

For parents and carers who may wish from time to time to book a flexible slot, the office may have some places available. To book these a after school/breakfast club form needs to have been completed at the start of the school year and places must be booked via the school office on the day if an after school place is required or the day before for breakfast club. There is no guarantee that places will be available and any spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

The cost for this flexible booking is higher with after school rates being £10.00/ £8.00 (concessions) per child per session and £4.00/ £3.50 per child per session for breakfast provision.

Children who are collected late from after school club, after 6.00 p.m., will be charged a late rate of £1.00 per minute.

We are hoping to be able to announce the facility of online payments for those of you who want it, at a later date this term, however in the interim if quick payments need to be made we have a safety deposit box located at reception where you can complete a deposit slip and leave cash and cheques. If a receipt is required it will be sent via your child the following day.
